Hello again,
Over the weekend (2/19 through today at 11:00 AM), there were three identified tagged fish detected by the 69kHz (VEMCO) portion of the real-time network. All three of these are White Sturgeon, none of which were reported on during my last report Friday. One of these was previously heard at Colusa on 2/16 and was heard at the same location both 2/20 and 2/21. Another of the White Sturgeon was heard at Lisbon Weir back on 2/5 and appears to be remaining in the Yolo Bypass, being detected at the same receiver on 2/21. The third White Sturgeon made its first 2016 (auditory) appearance on 2/19 and made its way upstream to Knights Landing by 2/21.
There were up to an additional 17 tags detected, 16 in the A60-6001 codespace. I re-iterate my previous re-iteration regarding this matter: please send me your tag IDs.
This concludes this edition of the real-time detections report. I'll see or hear from those of you attending the Sturgeon PWT on this Thursday morning.
