Memorial Day Minimally Meandering Missive Memorandum,

It has been a while since I last updated you all on detections by the real-time network of 69 kHz acoustic receivers. Since the morning of May 17th (through today, May 30th at 1:30 PM PST), we have detected two Green Sturgeon and two tags assigned to non-Sturgeon, non-rescue fish. In summary, there hasn't been much fish migration activity recorded in recent weeks.

One of the two Green Sturgeon was recorded 5/17 at Tower and CCF (Sacramento) Bridges. This Green Sturgeon was previously reported earlier 5/17 at Knights Landing.

The other Green Sturgeon, previously reported 3/29 at Colusa, was detected 5/26 at Knights Landing followed by yesterday (5/29) at the Tower and CCF Bridges. Late yesterday and early today (last detection 5 AM PST) this Sturgeon was heard on the receivers in the Delta Cross Channel near Snodgrass Slough. I will keep an eye on detections of this fish and I (or a co-worker) will report as appropriate if and when it is detected again.

I will be physically out of the office Wednesday June 1st through Tuesday the 7th.
